Failure requires you to set new goals, expectations and make small daily changes in order to achieve your new goals. The best analogy of this is the best baseball hitters have a 30% chance hitting the ball. So they fail 70% of the time and this occurs through all 162 games.  Vince Lombardi was an american football coach best known for coaching the Green bay Packers during the 1960's. He could have said this in halftime, such as if they were losing in a game  he would go in giving them this quote and explaining to them that they always need to not accept losing. The quote states and makes a connection by its self if you accept losing you can never be victorious...
